Mach-1 has been adapted to run in a flash-memory configuration removing the need for a conventional hard-disk drive. The reduction in moving parts and lower power consumption results in an appliance platform that is more reliable. An industry standard server platform is still used, keeping costs down and providing expansion ports.

The resulting PABX platfrom offers a range of hybrid connectivity options, the actual maximums may vary depending on the expansion options used.
